All Acadiana residents with an interest in open source technologies are invited to attend the August 2010 meeting of the Acadiana Open Source Group on Thursday August 26 at 6:30 p.m.
This meeting will take place back at the LITE Center. Construction that has taken place there over the summer is not yet completed, so touring the facility is not possible, but we will be given access to hold the meeting there. Thanks to the LITE Center staff for continuing to allow us to use their facilities. A sign will be posted in the building on the day of the meeting to direct attendees. Thanks to all who came out for the April 2010 meeting of AOS! A few topics were discussed, but the one that took the most time and drew the most lively discussion by far was introductory computer science education and the potential role of open source software therein.
