Our two children go to public schools in Lafayette. One is in elementary, the other in middle school. It's hard to miss the old PCs sitting like dinosaur bones in classrooms during parent/teacher conference time. A mishmash of Dells with Windows 98, 2000, XP and some with just "problems".

I would love to see the the schoolchildren get a chance to use something like Edubuntu. The teachers and librarians would benefit as well.
