All Acadiana residents with an interest in open source technologies are invited to attend the September 2011 meeting of the Acadiana Open Source Group on Thursday September 22 at 6:30 p.m. It is being held a week earlier than usual to accommodate the speaker's schedule. This meeting will take place at the LITE Center. As always, admission is free and open to the public.
Ryan Farnell will be presenting on Node.js, a JavaScript platform for developing server-side applications that is based in the V8 engine used by Google's Chrome browser. While this information will be most useful to developers, the meeting is open to anyone interested.
Thanks to the LITE Center staff for continuing to allow us to use their facilities. A sign will be posted in the building on the day of the meeting to direct attendees. Here's a map for directions; contact LITE if you need more information.
As always, please let us know if you are interested in speaking at or sponsoring a future meeting and remember to continue spreading the word about AOS to family, friends, classmates, and colleagues so we can get a good turnout!
